Red Dot Camera GIVEAWAY!

STOP PRESS:  We are really sorry but we have found some of the codes triggering an error message that states that the redeemed app is NOT a downloadable version. Red Dot Camera apologises for this and assures us this is the first time in a great track record of delivering high quality apps that they have experienced this. The guys at Red Dot Camera are looking into this and will be resolving this shortly, probably with a new delivery of app codes. Please await further news in the next few days and thank you for your patience.

The lovely people at LifeLikeApps (and creators of several successful apps) are handing out goodies this Christmas so please help yourself to a promocode (at the bottom of the page) to get access to the fabulous advanced camera replacement app Red Dot Camera. (normally retailing at $2.99)

Inspired by the retro craftsmanship of the classic Leica M camera series, Red Dot Camera brings your images to life with unrivalled quality and without the interference of gimmicky filters.

Featuring Rangefinder-Style Manual Focus, Manual ISO and Shutter Speed Control, Display Frame Lines (28mm, 35mm, 50mm), a Self-Timer and Black & White mode, Red Dot excels in delivering exceptional image capture quality.

Available as a free or premium download ($2.99), the only difference is that the free version applies a small watermark to the corner of each of your photos. Download Red Dot Camera now and start using your iPhone like a Leica camera!

Below are some great examples of Red Dot camera shots. They’re great examples of what the app can do because they were taken indoors, inside a museum (the new “The Broad” museum in Downtown LA) which means that manual settings were important because they were shot with relatively low light and no flash. As an additional challenge, the walls in this museum are very bright which would normally fool the camera into underexposing everything (like with snow) but thanks to the exposure compensation feature of Red Dot Camera, the shots were all exposed properly.

Another benefit is the ability to override the camera’s default ISO selection for a lower ISO which results in less grainy images as long as the iPhone is held very steadily or positioned on a sturdy surface when shooting.
