You will also need the app Perfect Photo and Filterstorm

With this tutorial we will create together, step-by-step a picture very similar to both color and technique, an oil painting. To create this I used 3 excellent apps. I will now explain the journey the photo takes through Iris Photo Suite, PhotoForge, Filterstorm and PerfectPhoto.

Here’s the original photo

After we opened the image in Iris Photo Suite, adjust the image saturation and color channels, giving a saturation and color as you can see from the photo 2 (below right).

Still using Iris Photo Suite, go to the filter section and apply the filter as you see in the 80’s first panel, then we apply a level of fusion as shown in the second panel (below, right).

Now let’s open up our image with PhotoForge, we move into the filter section and go to HDR simulation that will give a  clear and bright white halo. This filter is also great in black and white to simulate snow- glare giving a magical effect to our photos. In this case we have used a broad halo to light the pathway and other areas of the image.

In the first box you see, when we go in order to apply the following filters, water colors, but only just mentioned to create a first texture, finally we apply the most important, the oil painting effect filter that we are going to regulate at will as shown in box.

Now let’s open up our image with the program PerfectPhoto, adjust Gamma and give subtlety and detail to our picture with Sharpen. Sharpen is useful because it brings out the small details otherwise obscured by the filter oil painting, the steps they can see in the image above,

Our image is almost over, we just need to pay close attention to any burrs resulting from the applied texture. In this case we have a reddish glow that covers part of the image and it is ugly so use the clone brush tool in Filterstorm, Touch Retouch or any other app that has a good clone tool that allows you to clone over this area with some precision. Using this tool, correct and add small details to improve this image. Click Here to see Touch Retouch tutorial using the Clone tool.

Conclusion.

We concluded our work, this is the end result, but I think that your skills and imagination can develop and improve my tutorial. I hope that my small contribution has been a stimulus to creativity as it was for me.

Thank you for your looking.
