Crikey! Black & white in 3 quick steps

 

Here is my original image.

The first step is to convert the image to black and white in the image control settings found in Photoshop Express. (below left)

Next, I use the exposure setting to darken the image in order to build detail into the over exposed areas of the Crocodiles belly.

Then I go back to the settings and choose contrast to reduce the contrast of the image and enhancing the detail in the belly.

Photoshop Express is a free App and is great for making simple image corrections.
