Brendan Ó Sé – iPhoneographer

Here’s a great, short video on Irelands’s (Cork to be exact) talented iPhoneographer Brendan Ó Sé whose work you may have seen crop up regularly on our Apps Uncovered feature. This is a wonderful glimpse into the creativity behind Brendan’s iPhone photography as he takes us on a quick tour of his hometown and shares some of the inspiration and ideas behind his wonderful images.

“The film was shot and edited entirely on an iPhone by film maker Glen Mulcahy. Here’s a few words on how Glen discovered Brendan:

A few weeks ago I spotted the name Brendan O Se in the honorable mentions list of a global mobile photography competition. Hedging my bet that he was Irish I googled the name and found Brendans Flickr gallery: flickr.com/photos/instame and then his Twitter profile @Fotopunctuation So I reached out to him and asked would he be interested in me shooting a story on him and his work. We arranged the shoot and I spent about 3.5 hours shooting with Brendan, who very kindly allowed me to shoot him in class, out shooting street photos and in his home. I used FilMicPro to shoot and then decided to use iMovie for iOS7 to see if it would be possible to edit a broadcast quality version of the story. “

Thank you to Brendan and Glen for letting us share this video.
