Welcome Bob Weil to iPhoneographyCentral

iPhoneography Central is close to celebrating it's first birthday and what better time to introduce iPC's new partner, iphoneographer Bob Weil who will be working with iPC contributing news, reviews and features. Bob first caught my attention with his well executed tutorials focussing on classic photography techniques such as Depth of Field and portraiture. I thought these tutorials were a great complement to the more illustrative work iPC has tended to focus on.

Focus on Bob:

Bob’s professional background is in Internet design and technology. He’s written a book on Internet marketing and a number of product reviews for graphics and 3D software over the years. Bob also has a long-standing interest in photography, and in 2009 began using his iPhone to record spontaneous moments when his DSLR wasn’t at hand. Now he generally leaves the DSLR at home and uses the iPhone as his tool-of-choice for street, abstract and creative photography. Over the last few years, the explosion in on-board apps has brought the power of desktop photo editing to the iPhone and iPad to an unprecedented degree. It’s now possible to shoot, edit, annotate and upload on the fly.

Bob occasionally uses his iPhone to make calls and check email.
